2020 was a tough year for many reasons, but one of them was that my Uncle passed away from pancreatic cancer. In the last year of his life, we worked on developing a set of comic characters he had been sketching over a 20 year period. There are many others, but these four below are the ones we got to. The characters are meant to be made out of acorns and they use sustainability to craft clothing, tools and their homes. He wanted to share the message of sustainability with children in hopes that the next generation might take better care of the earth. Our first iteration was a shop with the characters sold on children's apparel, with some adult clothing options for friends and family.
